Advices can be a good way to introduce oneself.. :).. Here we go!
Guess you still need the SSN and drivers license. Life will be a bit more easier. Start cooking at home (if you like it, nothing like it..:)..)
If it is work, then you need a lot of planning than in India and feel free to say No. :)
Can't help the desis who multiply everything by 45.. :). Just accept them..
You need to be very independent here and for that, get some advice from the one who commented just before me.. :D..
